Teacher Quality

How are the members of the faculty selected ? Does the college have the required number of qualified and competence teachers to handle all the courses ? if not, how do you cope with the requirements ? The member of the faculty are being selected as per the rules and fegulation of saurashtra university, Government of Gujarat and University grants commission. For this purpose necessary proposal has been made to the commissioner for higher education for vacant posts as per the work-load. After receiving the N.O.C. as per the rule, the applications are being invited from the eligible candidates by publishing the advertisement in the two news papers. Moreover, the name list of the eligible candidates is invited from the district employment office and even from the university employment bureau. Afterwards, for constituting the selection committee, the representative of the vice-chancellor, representative of the government, representative of the management and the subject experts are invited. As soon as the acceptance from them is received for holding the interviews on the decided date by the institution. On the decided date, the eligible candidates are called for the interview by sending interview call letters to them by registered post. Out of present candidates in the interview, efficient candidate is being selected by the interview committee. The names of the first three selected candidates are being declared on a notice board at the same place and time.

Advertisement

(i) A period of 15 days is given to submit the application with all essential documents.

(ii) Advertisement is published with details about number and type of posts, qualification requirement, pay scale and other essential information.

(iii) Applications are invited through registered post.

Constitution of the interview committee

(i) Two representative nominated by the management.

(ii) One representative of Government of Gujarat.

(iii)One representative of vice-chancellor of the University.

(iv) Two subject experts from the panel provided by the university.
