Teaching Learning Process
(1) What courses use predominantly the lecture method ? Apart from classroom interactions, what other methods of teaching-learning are provided to students ?
Looking to the aims of rural studies, there is 47.06% courses strengthened with practical work and 51.94% courses have predominally lecture method. We also arrange field trips, visit to research centers, visit to nursery and Agriculture university as per the need of subject to make teaching-learning effective.
(2) How learning is made student-centered ? Give a list of participatory learning activities adopted by the college, which contribute to self management of knowledge development and skill formation ?
Initially students are informed about the prospectus. Then looking to their future career requirement. They are encouraged to participate in project work, assignments, term paper, practical works, etc. which are introduced in the syllabus. The following learning activities are followed to make learning student oriented
(3) What modern teaching aids are used in classroom instruction as well as other student learning experience ?
The following teaching aids are used to make teaching more effective :
A. Class room teaching.
Charts, Slides, Projector, Overhead projector, Insect specimens,Animal organ specimen, Human body parts and physiology system models
B. Practical work.
Laboratory equipment like microscope, pH meter, soil analysis kit, water analysis kit, analytical analysis equipments etc., Insetct specimens, Permanent animal organs specimens, Field traps, Survey etc.
